All-Australian Hamburger

Ingredients:

675g minced meat (can be slightly fatty for added moisture)
2 onions,finely chopped
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 Tbs prepared mustard
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
a pinch of dried oregano
plenty of salt and freshly ground black pepper
hamburger buns,toasted
mayonnaise
iceberg lettuce leaves
spicy tomato relish
yellow American mustard
Beetroot slices
4 slices cheese

Methods:

Place the mince,onions,breadcrumbs,egg,mustard,Worcestershire sauce, oregano and salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl.Mix well until combined.Divide into four and form into patties using Burger Mate.Cover and refrigerate until required.Fry the burgers or barbecue for 6 – 7 minutes on each side (medium).Serve burgers in a toasted bun with mayo,relish,mustard fried onions,lettuce,beetroot and cheese.
